GFEase runs on a cutting edge software platform that streamlines and simplifies the entire process of virtual Good Faith Exams. To date, over 500,000 patients to date have relied on the Docovia platform for virtual consultations, appointments, and exams.
Additionally, we work on your behalf to get your new patients cleared for your full range of services rather than just one service at a time. This reduces additional costs and saves time down the road if and when you or your team successfully upsell a client on a new service!
The onboarding process can range from as little as one week up to six weeks depending on a variety of factors including but not limited to the number of locations and the number of types of treatments offered.
GFEase is available for virtual Good Faith Exams 7 days a week starting at 8am PST and ending at 7pm PST.
Additional hours may be requested in advance as well as events that are pre-scheduled.
A Good Faith Exam is a consultation conducted by the appropriate licensed medical professional to assess the new patient's eligibility for various treatments offered by a Med Spa, Wellness Clinic, Aesthetic Practice, or another type of practice within the Aesthetics and Wellness Industry.
The goal of the exam is to ensure it is safe for the patient to receive various aesthetic or wellness treatments and services.
During a virtual Good Faith Exam (GFE), a patient will meet with one of our licensed medical professionals via a video call through our proprietary secure telehealth software. The healthcare professional will ask the patient questions about their medical history, current complaints, and desired outcomes.
Most exams are completed in approximately 5 minutes, but the biggest factor regarding the necessary amount of time laregly depends on the medical history of the patient.
A Good Faith Exam is essential to evaluate the patient's medical history, current health status, and specific goals to determine the suitability of treatments, minimize risks, and provide personalized recommendations.
Yes. When conducted by a qualified professional, a virtual Good Faith Exam is just as effective as an in-person exam for assessing your suitability for aesthetic treatments.
In many cases it is more cost effective to outsource the GFE to a third party to enable your advanced providers on-site to focus on revenue generating activities.
A patient should be prepared to discuss their medical history, allergies, current medications, and previous aesthetic treatments, if any.
Yes. GFEase uses a state-of-the-art proprietary software platform that is fully HIPAA-compliant. This platform protects the privacy of the patient and the practice and ensures that Private Health Information (PHI) is kept confidential.
Yes. GFEase builds out a customized landing page, a unique QR code, and a specific URL link for each practice to help connect our providers with patients during our hours of operation.
Not only can a patient receive a GFE on demand, but also they can pre-schedule the GFE prior to their appointment and complete it at home or their workplace for total convenience.
After the exam, our medical professional submits a full PDF report documenting all the questions that were asked, all the answeres provided by the patient, along with the providers recommendation of the treatments for which the patient is cleared. This report is delivered via our secure online portal for easy reference and review and can also be viewed on the Docovia app for Android and iPhone.
We provide a customized link for your practice that you supply to your patients to connect directly with a GFEase provider with thier own phone/device. If you have a walkin, we create a custom QR code the patient can scan with thier phone and connect directly with our provider to complete thier GFE.
Remember that these FAQs serve as a general guideline, and specific policies and procedures may vary between med spas and healthcare providers. Always consult with your chosen provider for their specific telehealth services and policies.
